Photography as a historical document. 20 historical photos to explore

Today to deny the historical value that photographs have or could have is absurd. Taking a photo is creating a historical document, helping to illustrate part of the collective memory of a country. In other words, when we photograph we freeze an instant, thus capturing the reality of the moment, and this image of the present in the future could help historians understand our society. Thus, all photography becomes a historical document, a visual and graphic testimony of the customs of an era.

Most of what we know that happened in the past, in the history of our people, comes thanks to the writings that have been recovered. However, today many historians have found in photography another means to understand that not too distant past, they have discovered the testimonial and documentary value of the image. 20 historical photos to explore.
